Comments
On Februrary 14th, 2007, new upgrades were added to the VHR. First, a new drug class for Incretins was added to the Medications portion of the Encounter/Visit form. This new class will display on the Encounter Note report. Second, a new Medication Usage Analysis report has been added to the main menu. This will allow users to run a report displaying patients with a current prescription for a given medication. Finally, a new field for waist circumference was added to the Encounter/Visit form. This value will be displayed on the Encounter Note report, as well as the DM and CVD reports for BMI (DM19 and CVD25).

Lab and Diagnostic Test Information Form

The Lab and Diagnostic Test Information has been redesigned from prior versions of the VHR. The new form allows you to enter new, or modify or delete existing tests in one operation. Currently the new from is on the practice site at http://www.bsi-vt.com/vpqregistry. We haven't gotten very much feedback on this item but would like to move it over to the live VHR. We are giving users a last chance to see the form and comment on the look and operation of the new form on the practice site before it is added to the VHR. If you do not remember your own clinics username and password to access the practice site you can contact me to find out what it is. We think this is going to be a big improvement over entering the lab tests one at a time.

I have also included the section of the user manual that pertains to the Lab and Diagnostic Test Form. If you need a current copy of the full usermanual you can get one with these updates on either the practice or the live sites under the "Download" section before you log in. Please email me with comments right away as we plan to put the new data entry form up early next week.
